Yoga for Adults
My classes offer sequences of flowing asanas (postures) integrated with pranayama (breathing techniques) in the tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar, whilst paying attention to individual needs and safety. Lessons can be offered in Italian or English.
Prenatal Yoga
Yoga can be a very effective tool to help women face the several physical, emotional and psychological changes that come with the experience of becoming a mother. Through the practice of modified asanas, breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation, women learn to cultivate acceptance and listen to their bodies and emotions whilst improving muscular flexibility and maintaining adequate postural alignment. Yoga can be practiced at any stage of pregnancy (provided that there are no medical conditions).
Post-natal Yoga
This practice is centred around the breath, also coordinated with specific movements, as the key tool to improve postural alignment and muscular strength after giving birth. The use of deep relaxation and visualisation techniques is also quite effective in helping women recover precious energies at such a complex time as the first few months of motherhood. It can be practiced starting from 40 days after giving birth if there is no medical contraindication.
Yoga for Moms & Babies
This practice is aimed at strengthening the relationship between mothers and newborns through the use of breath, voice, contact and movement. At the same time it helps mothers define a personal space of self-awareness. This course is open to babies aged from three months to before crawling, together with their moms.
